Campground Rules and Policies

In support of our commitment to facilitating a safe and enjoyable stay for all guests we kindly ask:

Quiet Hours

11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

No outside speakers on after 10:00 PM

​

Generators

Generators are not allowed at anytime. 

​

​

Parents

Please accompany your young campers to the showers, bathrooms and playground.

​

​

Campfires

  • Reasonable fires contained within fire rings only

  • Fires out at 11:00 PM

  • Do not burn garbage (anything not firewood is garbage)

  • Do not move fire rings from approved locations (see lawn repair policy)

  • Do not bring firewood from outside the area. If you have questions regarding this request, please see the South Dakota Map at www.dontmovefirewood.org

Pets

  • Pets are required to always be on a leash and cleaned up after.

  • If you do not pick up after your pet your card will be billed $20

  • Pets are not allowed in the shower house and we request you do not loiter with, or tie your pet in front of the shower house, as some people are afraid of dogs and this would limit their access to the facility

Visitors

  • Visitors to your campsite are required to check in at the office and must depart the property by 10:00 PM

  • Visitors are not allowed to use the pool or showers.

Vehicles / Gear

  • Please keep your equipment within your assigned site and clear of roadways. Overflow parking and storage is available upon request

  • Absolutely no vehicle washing or major vehicle servicing on site

​

Pool

  • Infants and toddlers must wear a swim diaper (available for purchase in the campground store

  • Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult

  • No children, regardless of age, are allowed to swim alone

​POLICIES

​

Reservation and Cancellation

By providing your credit card information you agree to the following fees and policies: 

Regular Season Reservation Policies

  • *Please note we have made changes to our reservation policy effective January 31,
    2026    .

  • *To make, change or cancel a reservation you must call the campground and talk
    to a person.

  • Reservations require a 2 night minimum.

  • Reservations require a non-refundable reservation fee with the amount equal to the
    single night charge of your reservation. The charge will be billed to your card upon
    confirmation of dates and your acceptance of policy and charges. The reservation fee
    will be applied to the total of charges for your reservation with balance due in full at
    check-in.

  • *Changes to reservations. You can make changes to your reservation, add nights, drop
    nights or change dates at no charge until 1:00PM two weeks prior to your arrival date.
    We will make every effort to accommodate your request with the consideration given for
    availability.


  • At 1:00 pm, two weeks prior to your scheduled arrival your reservation is considered final.

  •  Any changes made in the 2 week period previous to your scheduled arrival date will be considered adding nights or cancelling nights and will incur full nightly rate

  • charge. This policy applies to changes made at check-in.

  • In review, YOU have until 1:00 PM two weeks before your scheduled arrival to change
    your reservation without incurring additional charges. Anytime, less than two weeks
    before your scheduled arrival you are responsible for all dates of original reservation
    and any dates added or cancelled. Remember, once charged the reservation fee is
    nonrefundable for any reason.
    *If you decide to extend your stay beyond the original reservation you may be required
    to move sites. Prior reservations receive priority.

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Reservation Policies

  • Please note we have made significant changes to our rally reservation policy effective Jan 01, 2021.

  • Reservation deposit will be based on site rate only. Fees for additional persons, or other charges, will be collected at check-in.

  • Reservations made for Rally dates require a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the reservation total to hold the site. The deposit will be billed to your card the same day reservation is made.

  • You can cancel your reservation anytime up until 21 days from the arrival date of your reservation without incurring a cancellation fee. Three weeks (21 days) from the arrival date of your reservation, your card will be billed the remaining 50% of the site rate. 

  • Site rate fees are non-refundable regardless of time or reason.

  • If your reservation includes an official rally date, the entire reservation will be considered a rally reservation.

  • Absolutely No Refunds will be given for early departure.

Additional Guests

  • All regular season rates include 2 guests, additional guests 8 years of age and over $4 each

  • All Sturgis Rally rates include 2 guests, additional guests $15 each.

  • All persons must be declared at check-in.

Early Departures

All camping and cabin charges are paid at check-in. If you choose to depart early, we do not issue refunds, so please plan your stay accordingly and review our cancellation policies.

Late Arrivals

Our office closes at 8:00 p.m. Mountain Time. We strongly encourage you to schedule your travel day so you arrive in plenty of time to get settled in before it gets dark. We do not allow late arrivals as it is disrupting to our other guests and it can be difficult finding your way around in the mountains after dark.

Pets

Quiet, well behaved pets are welcome. You are responsible for your pet and its behavior. If your pet becomes a nuisance, or displays aggressive behavior, you will be asked to take them to a kennel or leave. No refund will be issued.

Fire Rings

​If a fire ring is moved and a new spot burned, your card will be billed $200 for yard repair. If you need a fire ring moved for easier entry or exit from your site please contact park staff.

Please Note:​

 

  • This property is privately owned and operated. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone up to and including removal from the property without refund.

  • Guests will be held responsible for their own actions resulting in damage or vandalism to the property or facilities

  • We are not responsible for accident or injury to guests or any loss of valuables, property or money
